Zara is a popular Spanish brand from the Inditex group, specializing in clothing, footwear, accessories and perfumes for women, men and children. The brand was founded by Amancio Ortega in 1975 in La Coruña. They wanted to name the brand Zorba, after the hero of the movie "The Greek Zorba", but Amancio could not settle the legal issues, so the brand later received its name Zara.
